As of the end of 2024, Lombardy was the region with the highest installed capacity of residential solar PV systems across Italy. Homes in the region had roughly 1.4 gigawatts of installed solar capacity. In total, Italy reached some 8.6gigawatts of residential solar PV capacity in 2024.Â
