TIV (trend-indicator value) is a unit invented by SIPRI. It is used to allow comparison between data on deliveries of various conventional weapons and to identify general trends. The TIV is based on the known unit production costs of a core set of weapons and is intended to represent the transfer of military resources rather than the financial value of the transfer.

In the period between 2020 to 2024, exports of arms from Israel to India were measured at about *** billion trade-indicator value (TIV), an indicator developed by the SIPRI institute. It was followed by the sale of weapons to the United States, which reached *** million TIV in this period. Other countries that received major arms exports included the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and the UAE.
