U.S. gravity of Trump admin discussing classified plans on Signal 2025, by party
In March 2025, a journalist was added to a group chat on the messaging application Signal containing highly sensitive plans surrounding military advances and attack plans. Included in the group chat were Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, as well as a number of other senior members of the Trump administration. Classified information such as what was included in the chat is forbidden to be discussed on such platforms, and thus has sparked considerable criticism surrounding the breach of national security.
According to a survey shortly after the story was published, over half of Americans considered the problem very serious. Of those, ** percent were Republicans and ** percent were Democrats.
