In 2022, the total amount of official development assistance (ODA) commitments to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystems was roughly ** billion U.S. dollars. During the same year, Sub-Saharan Africa was the region with the largest assistance commitments on conservation of biodiversity, with almost *** billion U.S. dollars, followed by Latin America and the Caribbean.Â
