Under current policies, net greenhouse gas emissions in the United States are projected to total **** billion metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (GtCOâ‚‚e) by 2030 in a mid-emissions scenario, before dropping to *** GtCOâ‚‚e by 2035. However, under a pathway in which the Trump administration repeals key climate regulations as well as repealing all components of the Inflation Reduction Act starting in 2025, U.S. GHG emissions would rise to *** GtCOâ‚‚e by 2035.
