The share of electric vehicles in the German car sharing fleet has been considerably higher than among the total fleet of cars on German roads for the past five years. The EV share in the car sharing fleet peaked in 2022, when over ** percent of cars available for sharing were electric. This share has since fallen to under a fifth of the fleet. The car sharing fleet has expanded during this period, but operators are less likely to add new electric vehicles to their fleets than they were in previous years.
