Serbia recorded the highest governmental consumption expenditure in the Western Balkan region over the observed years, totaling nearly 13 billion euros in 2023. By comparison, Kosovo and Montenegro reported the lowest government expenditures, at 1.22 and 1.25 billion euros, respectively.
