In the first quarter of 2025, some ** percent of the passenger cars sold in Egypt were imported as completely knocked down (CKD) and assembled in the country. The remaining arrived as completely built units (CBU). During the period reviewed, sales of cars assembled in the country were highest in the second quarter of 2024. On the other hand, the fourth quarter of 2023 registered the highest sales for CBUs imported.
