A 2021 survey in Saudi Arabia revealed that the average gender quality index (GEI) amongst non-Saudi adults who engaged in physical activity for at least ** minutes a day, was approximately ****, indicating much more favorable conditions for men. In recent years, however, there have been more and more opportunities opening up in the country for women, including an increase in women-only fitness centers. Overall, foreign citizen men were more physically active than non-Saudi women. The smallest disparity between physically active men and women were between the ages of ** and ** with about **** percent more men active than women.
