In 2025, Google’s data centers accounted for over 13.56 billion gallons of water withdrawals. Council Bluffs, in Iowa, accounted for the largest share, with around 1.75 billions gallons. Mayes County, Oklahoma, ranked second, also with almost 1.4 billion gallons' worth of withdrawals. Water in data centers is mainly used for cooling.
