During the Paris 2024 Paralympics Games, 29 world records were broken in Para swimming events. Of these, only 11 records were set by athletes who did not hold the former records. Among the particularly impressive performers was Gabriel Geraldo dos Santos Araujo of Brazil, who smashed his own record in the men's 150m SM2 individual medley by over eight seconds.
