In 2024, over ** percent of consumers in Kazakhstan earned at least the equivalent of the highest ** percent of global income earners as of 2022 in purchasing power parity (PPP) terms. Those who earned at least the equivalent of the top 10 percent of global income earners stood at nearly ** percent. Kazakhstan had the largest middle class and above share among the countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), followed by Azerbaijan.
