In 2024, around ** tons of round cell primary batteries were recycled in Germany. Since 2021, the legally prescribed recycling rate in Germany is ** percent. This regulation is part of the new Battery Act (BattG2), which regulates the collection and recycling of batteries in order to reduce the environmental impact of batteries and promote a circular economy.
