In 2023, there was a slight disparity in the consumption of confectioneries in Italy, varying across regions. In the Aosta Valley, 55.3 percent of individuals consumed sweets at least once a week. In Sicily, the share of those consuming sweets weekly amounted to 44.7 percent.Â
