According to a 2024 survey, Americans were politicall divided on whether or not they felt the United States made a mistake sending troops to fight in wars. While Democrats and Republicans were on the same page surrounding the two World Wars, there was more of a divide when it came to involvemnet in Vietnam and Iraq.Â
