According to a survey conducted in 2023, ** percent of Republicans in the United States agreed that they would consider a candidate's position on abortion as just one of many important factors, while ** percent said that they would only vote for a candidate who shares their views on abortion. A further ** percent did not see this as a major issue at all. However, Republicans aged between 18 and 29 years and Republican women were most likely to say that they would only vote for a candidate who shares their views on abortion, totaling ** percent and ** percent respectively. In contrast, Republican men were the most likely demographic group to feel that this was not a major issue, at ** percent.
