As of October 2023, 57 percent of respondents reported that the main reason for them to watch movies in a theater was due to the cast of the movie. On the other hand, 47 percent of Canadians indicated they watched movies in the theater mostly due to word of mouth from family and friends. In contrast, just five percent of consumers stated to watch movies in the theater due to the studio or distributor.Â
