Overnight visitors in Lisbon prefer hotel establishments

The number of overnight stays in the region of Greater Lisbon was over **** million in 2024. Of these, only * overnight stays occurred in rural and housing tourism establishments, which demonstrates that this is a niche market in the region. Still, this type of overnight stay still generated *** million euros in profit in 2024. Nevertheless, the dominance of hotels in regard to profit from overnight stays is clear, as this type of establishment was accountable for over *** billion euros in profit during the same period.
