The production of liquid biofuels worldwide amounted to about *** million barrels per day in 2022. Global liquid biofuels production is projected to grow over the next decade, reaching some *** million barrels per day in 2030 under the net-zero emissions by 2050 (NZE) scenario. This would represent an increase of roughly *** percent when compared to 2022 levels. While liquid biofuels production is forecast to increase, projected liquid fuels production is expected to decrease.
