Forecast renewable capacity in Latin America 2030, by source and scenario
If all energy and climate targets are achieved in Latin America, solar photovoltaic capacity is forecast to reach roughly *** gigawatts in 2030. In the same scenario, wind is expected to surpass 100 gigawatts of installed capacity and bioenergy will reach some ** gigawatts. Hydropower is forecast to continue being the largest source of renewable energy in the region in 2030.
