For the years 2016-2020, the USA and North American regions weren't explicitly reported in the Traton Group financial statements as they had not acquired their major North American arm of Navistar. So for those years, the revenue is simply reported as zero, but it can be included the "Other regions" numbers.

Citation formats

The majority of the sales revenue recorded by the Traton Group was earned in the European market. Furthermore, Brazil and South America constituted a significant share of the market from year to year,although it was mostly other world regions that contributed the second most to sales revenue. The exception is that as of 2022, the sales revenue in South America as a whole exceeded the "Other regions" category. As of 2021, the Traton Group entered the North American market, and by 2024, it was the region supplying the second highest sales revenue, with a combined ** billion euros.

The brief period of decline in total revenue in 2020 was in the midst of both the COVID-19 pandemic and global semiconductor shortages. It was not only the Traton Group that suffered such losses as the number of cars sold worldwide suffered a decline during that same period.
