In 2022, around ** percent of foreign workers in the Gulf Cooperation Council worked in unskilled professions. This was in sharp contrast to the roughly *** percent of local citizens in the GCC who had unskilled professions. The disparity between foreign and local workers was far less in skilled professions with roughly ** and ** percent, respectively.
