There has been an increase in the protection of personally identifiable health data in Europe from 2009 to 2022. Additionally, ** percent of European countries had legislation to protect personal data held in an electronic health record in 2022. Countries with legislation allowing individuals to request inaccuracies of their health related data be corrected within an EHR has more than doubled between 2009 and 2022.
