Opensignal's Games Experience metric evaluates real-time multiplayer mobile gaming experience on a network operator's system. It uses a 0-100 scale and considers factors like latency, packet loss, and jitter that affect the gaming experience. Games Experience is a method for quantifying the experience of playing real-time multiplayer mobile games. It's based on years of research that determine the impact of network parameters like latency, jitter, and packet loss on the gaming experience. The approach also takes into account the average sensitivity of different multiplayer mobile game genres to network conditions. The games tested include popular ones like Fortnite, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Arena of Valor. Calculating Games Experience starts with measuring the end-to-end experience from users’ devices to internet end-points that host real games. The score is then measured on a scale from 0 to 100.
