In 2023, the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals witnessed a slight recovery in average purchase prices per ton; nonetheless, average prices remained relatively low compared to the peaks witnessed in 2020. On the other hand, the average purchase price per ton for the top three white wine grape varietals remained relatively stable during the same time period, encouraging several grape growers to turn their attention to white wine varieties.
