A global study held in early 2023 found that ** percent of news avoiders did so by scrolling past news or changing channels when the news came on, making this the most common method of avoiding news. Others limited their news consumption to certain times of day or stopped notifications, whilst just over ** percent avoiding specific topics that affected their mental wellbeing.
