Beer, on the other hand, witnessed a fall in consumption; in the 12 months to March 2020, there were over *** million people drinking beer across Australia, falling to around *** million in the 12 months to March 2023. Ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages (RTDs) witnessed the most notable change in consumption from pre-pandemic levels to the year to March 2023, increasing by over two million consumers.
