A survey conducted in April and May 2023 among the representatives of companies doing business in the United States found that less than half, only ** percent, of the companies feel very prepared to comply with the state-level privacy laws in the U.S. A further ** percent believed they were moderately prepared, while ** percent said they were prepared slightly. The U.S. does not have comprehensive data privacy legislation. However, some states have already signed, and some are in the process of signing state-level laws for data privacy.
