As of 2022, Egyptian fish production amounted to around 1.99 million metric tons. This was a drop by almost 12,000 metric tons from around two million metric tons compared to the previous year. Over the observed period, the country's fish production increased yearly, and has been slightly decreasing since 2020. Moreover, fish cultivation was the primary source for fish production in the country.
