From the 27 countries of the European Union (EU-27), the transportation industry of countries like France, Germany, and the Netherlands used the largest amount of biogasoline in 2023. For instance, France consumed nearly 844,100 metric tons of oil equivalent in biogasoline and Germany consumed nearly 800,000 metric tons of the same biofuel type. That year, Malta and Cyprus had no consumption of biogasoline for transportation and Croatia used only 200 metric tons.
