In a recent study investigating the detection frequency of various PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) among U.S. adults living in San Diego and Orange counties in California, PFHxS, PFNA, PFOA, and PFOS exhibited high detection rates, with percentages ranging from **** percent to **** percent, indicating widespread presence in the population. Although many of the other PFAS investigated also demonstrated significant detection frequencies, several chemicals investigated were detected at lower rates, indicating comparatively less occurrence among the tested respondents.
