The downstream applications of flouropolymers characterized under renewable energy saw the greatest increase in the total value of fluoropolymer sales in Europe between 2015 and 2020 amongst the represented downstream applications. Despite the total quantity of fluoropolymer sales in Europe associated with renewable energy remaining unchanged in this period, the value associated with these sales increased by 300 percent from less than five million euros in 2015 to around 20 million euros in 2020.
