Renewable asset finance refers to new-build renewable projects financed through balance sheets or other mechanisms including project finance, syndicated equity, or project bonds. It excludes renewable projects financed through corporate finance, including venture capital, private equity, and public markets. It also excludes investments in small-scale solar projects.
