In 2024, a total of ** gigawatts of renewable power had been contracted through corporate purchase agreements (PPAs) in Europe. Wind was the technology with the largest contracted capacity through the period considered. The volume of solar capacity contracted increased greatly, reaching gigawatts in 2024, overtaking wind capacity that year.
