There were no immigrants living in Cuba in 2020. Furthermore, immigrants made up only *** percent of the total population in China, Vietnam, Madagascar, Indonesia, and Myanmar. Some of the countries with the lowest share of immigrants among their total population are among the least developed in the world, thus making them unattractive for immigrants. China is probably the most notable exception here, with its high overall population and relatively restrictive migration policy among the explanations for the low number of immigrants.
