According to a survey carried out in March 2023, the young population in Russia was more receptive of digital identification documents (IDs) than older respondents. More specifically, nearly four in ten of those aged 34 years or younger expressed their desire to have a digital ID on their smartphone. To compare, slightly over a fifth of individuals aged 45 years and above responded positively to the same.
