investment markets around the world and 2,325 investors from a range of wealth levels, ages, and locations. The survey covered four regions including Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and North America.
High Net Worth (HNW) refers to a person with a net worth of at least one million U.S. dollars.
Very High Net Worth Individuals (VHNWIs) have a net worth of at least 10 million U.S. dollars.
Ultra High Net Worth individuals (UHNWIs) are defined as people with a net worth of at least 30 million U.S. dollars

Overall, the likelihood of an investor leaving a firm to follow an individual financial advisor was relatively high as over half of billionaires and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals stated they would likely move to follow an individual advisor. Roughly * of the mass investor market noted they would be very likely to follow their advisor to a new firm. High Net Worth (HNW) individuals were the next highest investor group most likely to move institutions to follow a particular advisor. Following an individual advisor may be noted as one of the leading reasons why investors change financial institutions.
