According to a 2021 report issued by the UK Safer Internet Center and the Revenge Porn Helpline in the United Kingdom, 32 percent of revenge porn victims were told about being the victim of a revenge porn crime by someone they knew. Roughly the same number of users were made aware of being the victims of revenge porn by the perpetrator. In comparison, less than two in 10 victims reported founding out about the non-consensually shared images by themselves.
