According to a survey of 10 countries in 2024, three in ten seniors aged 65 years and older in Australia reported feeling isolated from others often or some of the time. This was nearly three times higher than older adults in Germany. Compared to the same survey in 2021, older adults in most countries reported less isolation, except for seniors in Australia and New Zealand, where more seniors felt isolated.
