In 2024, over 21.53 million people aged between 15 and 24 were employed in Mexico, the most numerous employed age group in that period. This represented approximately 21.24 percent of the total. By contrast, workers aged 55 to 64 years or more made up for 12.95 percent of the labour force. In 2022, the adult employment rate in this country was below the average of the OECD bloc.
