According to a survey carried out in the Netherlands in 2019, Dutch citizens were quite split on the notion that it is importnat to know someone's sex when meeting them. Approximately 39 percent of respondents either agreed or completely agreed with that statement, compared to 38 percent who either disagreed or completely disagreed.
