A poll conducted in July 2022 found that ** percent of Democrats consider the federal protection of people's constitutional rights more important than the ability of individual states to make their own laws. This is contrasted with ** percent of Republican voters, who were more likely (** percent) to say that it is more important for individual states to have the ability to make their own laws without federal interference.
