In 2021, about 278,000 workers were newly registered under the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in Ghana. The coverage of new employees was higher compared to the previous years observed. SSNIT is a statutory public Trust responsible for the basic national social security scheme in Ghana.
