In June 2022, registered voters in the United States were asked if they supported a law aimed at increasing competition that would prevent app stores from preferencing their own apps in search results. In general, 20 percent of 18 to 34 year old respondents strongly supported such a measure, while nine percent of respondents from that particular age group was strongly against it.
