During a survey carried out among radio consumers in Moscow in 2021 and 2022, 60 percent of respondents turned the radio on for it to play in the background. Another 59 percent stated that they liked listening to the music to get in a better mood or to get distracted from the pressures of everyday life. Among the favorite radio stations in Russia were Russkoye Radio, Europa Plus, and Dorozhnoe Radio.
