Out of the 2,067 respondents, 76.3 percent were middle to high income earners and 68.17 percent had a bachelor’s degree or above. They were also concentrated in ten large Chinese cities – Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Kunming, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Xi’an, and Zhengzhou.

According to a survey conducted in China in June 2021, around **** percent of respondents said they predict China's relations with Australia will improve in the future. However, the share of respondents who believed that ideological differences between China and Australia were the largest impediments to a better relationship increased to **** percent from **** percent in the previous year.
