Out of the 2,067 respondents, 76.3 percent were middle to high income earners and 68.17 percent had a bachelor’s degree or above. They were also concentrated in ten large Chinese cities – Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Kunming, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Xi’an, and Zhengzhou.

According to a survey conducted by the Global Times Research Center and the Beijing Foreign Studies University in June 2021, around **** percent of respondents in China said they considered Australia as being more of a threat to China than an economic partner. Around ** percent of respondents blamed 'factors involving the United States' for the bad relationship between China and Australia.
