UnionPay, Visa, and EPS are Hong Kong's most used card brands. Hong Kong has a diverse range of card schemes and use cases available to it. This is reflected somewhat in the market share of American Express, which is noticeably higher in Hong Kong than in other parts of the world. Credit cards and wallets remained the most popular ways to pay in physical store payments in Hong Kong. As of 2024, UnionPay held the highest market share accounting for ** percent.
