In 2022, the pillar free flow of information achieved the highest score in the Positive Peace Index (PPI) in Ghana, at **** points. This put the country in a high state of positive peace. Other pillars indicating a high level of positive peace in the country included acceptance of the rights of others, well-functioning government, equitable distribution of resources, and good relations with neighbours. In contrast, low levels of corruption, high levels of human capital, and sound business environment registered scores indicating medium and low levels of positive peace.
According to the index, a PPI of one point represents a very high level of peace in a country. A total of *** countries were considered in the index.
