An October 2022 survey among adult mobile gamers in the United States found that 40 percent of the respondents switched between their favorite games on a weekly basis. About 24 percent of them switched multiple times per week, while 12 percent only switched a once every few months. Around 21 percent of the respondents stated not changing their favorite games, while nine percent stated not having a preferred title at all. Boredom with currently played games was mentioned as the main driver for gamers to switch to other titles.
